Description

This standard defines traffic data collection in urban and interurban environments.
It distinguishes five levels of data exchange:
- Level I: international exchange (DATEX is recommended),
- Level II: exchange between different network managers (DATEX recommended for event data),
- Level III: exchange between different traffic management centres on the same network,
Level IV: exchange between different applications within a centre (betwwen front-end data acquisition systems and computer applications),
Level V: exchange between a traffic management centre and field equipment (dynamic equipment).
NF P99-340 : general rules and repositories;
NF P99-304 : Management of all operating and road traffic data collection equipment located on urban and interurban roads, except those concened by signal-based traffic control systems. It defines the data exchange between the data collection terminals (detection devices, measurement counters or stations) and equipment enabling related information to be managed, transported or used.
NF P99-341 : Application for the control/functioning of variable message signs.
NF P99-342 : Application for camera control/functioning ;
NF P99-344 : Application for the control/fiunctioning of measurement devices and traffic data processing equipment.
