[Traffic Protocol Expert Group]
TPEG is an ISO/ECS standard for the transmission of traffic and tourist information (TTI). One of the characteristics of TPEG is the multiplicity of its carrier systems (DAB, Internet), whereas RDS-TMC uses a sub-carrier of a radio broadcast on the FM waveband. TPEC has various TTI applications for all modes of transport: road traffic information, departure and arrival times of trains, trams, buses, ferries and planes.
