Description

This standard defines the manner in which an event on the network is encoded:
- A code identifying the nature of the event (accident, traffic jam, organized event, etc);
- Another code to locate the place where the event has occurred (gecode);
- The direction of travel;
- The extent of the event;
- Additional optional information (such as the number of vehicles involved in an accident for example).
This is also an RDS-TMC message transmission protocol.
